BEMIDJI - Local residents are encouraged to take part in an online voting competition that has the potential of benefiting a local school.
Bemidji High ΝαΝαΒώ»­ and Voyageurs Expeditionary ΝαΝαΒώ»­ both already have received $2,500 and are competing for the chance to win an additional $7,500 in the Toyota Drive for Education program.
Voting is now open and runs through March 5.
To vote:
β€’ Log in to Facebook.
β€’ Go to PREP45 and β€œlike” their page.
β€’Click on the β€œMinnesota Toyota Drive for Education” Contest button. Here, you may read the nominating essays for each school.
β€’ Then, click on β€œVote” on the banner at the top of the page.
The site states only one vote is allowed per entry.
Local nominated projects include a greenhouse for the lunch program at Voyageurs Expeditionary ΝαΝαΒώ»­ and to purchase eBooks for the library at Bemidji High ΝαΝαΒώ»­.
Winners will be announced during the Minnesota State High ΝαΝαΒώ»­ Hockey Tournament.
