Vehicle goes through ice on Lake Lillian

LAKE LILLIAN, Minn. – Two people escaped injury Friday night, Dec. 7, when the vehicle they were in plunged through the ice on the north side of Lake Lillian.

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle was pulling a fish house when it went through the ice. The vehicle and fish house were partially submerged.

The driver and a passenger were able to get out of the vehicle without assistance.

In a news release, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office said the condition of ice can be variable and to proceed with caution on area lakes.
