BEMIDJI-A handful of high schools in and around Bemidji are among Minnesota's best, according to U.S. News and World Report's annual rankings.
TrekNorth Junior & Senior High حلحلآ» is the 36th best high school in the state and 2,300th in the U.S., according to the longstanding media company that also publishes annual "best of" lists for colleges and hospitals.

Bemidji High حلحلآ» is the 56th-best high school in Minnesota, and Blackduck High حلحلآ» is the 89th, according to U.S. News' rankings, which it released late last month. Nationally, those two schools are ranked 3,208th and 5,214th, respectively.
Red Lake and Cass-Lake Bena high schools, plus Voyageurs Expeditionary حلحلآ», were all ranked 283-416th in the state.
The company determined those rankings by measuring how many 12th graders in a given school took and passed an Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exam, how many took and passed multiple AP or IB exams, how well students performed on state-administered math and reading tests, and the class of 2017's four-year graduation rate.
Minnesota has the 34th best high schools in the country, according to U.S. News, which measured how many schools each state had in the company's top five, 10, and 25th percentiles. Massachusetts was ranked first.
