Temporary road closures planned for bridge deck replacements

CASS LAKE - The Chippewa National Forest has announced temporary road closures at five locations in September and October for bridge deck replacements.

CASS LAKE – The Chippewa National Forest has announced temporary road closures at five locations in September and October for bridge deck replacements.

The deck replacements are part of the forest’s routine maintenance, and closures will take place from Sept. 25 through Oct. 11, a release said.

Each bridge closure is expected to last for approximately two days.The Forest Road 2203 bridge deck (Decker Lake) will be replaced from Sept. 25-26. The Forest Road 2240 bridge deck (Mitt Lake) will be replaced from Sept. 27-28. The Forest Road 2182 bridge deck (Batson Lake Inlet) will be replaced from Oct. 2-3. The Forest Road 2182 bridge (Batson Lake Outlet) will be replaced from Oct 4-5. The Migezi Bike Trail Bridge deck will be replaced Oct. 10-11. Alternative routes to destinations are available.
