MSUM announces Dean's List

Minnesota State University Moorhead recently released its Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. To be named to the list, students must achieve a 3.25 grade point average while enrolled in 12 graded credits.

Local students named to the list include:

Concordia College announces Dean's List

Concordia College, Moorhead recently released its Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. To qualify, students must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits and have a grade point average of at least a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.

NTC awards scholarships to area students

Northwest Technical College recently awarded $2,500 Workforce Development Scholarships to 10 area students. The scholarships are funded through a Minnesota State Colleges and Universities pilot program to support students entering college for the first time in five high-demand fields: engineering technology, practical nursing, dental assisting, medical coding and emerging computer technology.

Jirik names to Iowa State Dean's List

Andrew W. Jirik of Bemidji was recently named to Iowa State University's Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. Students named to the Dean's List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework.

Laakso graduates from Gustavus

Claire Laakso of Bemidji recently graduated cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. She was one of 520 students to graduate with bachelor of arts degree from the college on June 2. Laakso also was named to the school's 2018 spring Dean's List, which required her to achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.7.

Hamrin listed on Baylor Dean's List

Sarah Hamrin of Bemidji was recently named to Baylor University's Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. Students included on the Dean's List are Baylor undergraduates with a minimum grade point average of 3.7 while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Baylor University is located in Waco, Texas.
