Norway Beach Campground “loop” closed for season

CASS LAKE -- The Chippewa National Forest recently announced the closure of the Norway Beach Campground Loop within the Norway Beach Recreation Area because of a break in a water main.

CASS LAKE -- The Chippewa National Forest recently announced the closure of the Norway Beach Campground Loop within the Norway Beach Recreation Area because of a break in a water main.

All current and future reservations have been canceled and refunds are being processed through , according to a press release.

The Norway Beach Recreation Area is located four miles east of Cass Lake on U.S. Highway 2.  The recreation area has four campground loops and the other three loops: Cass Lake, Chippewa and Wanaki remain open and are available by reserving a site at or by first come, first serve.
