Lutheran Women's Missionary League to hold Spring Rally

PARK RAPIDS 鈥� The Spring Rally of the Bemidji-Park Rapids Zone of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 803 First St. W, in Park Rapids.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the rally kicking off at 9:30. Pastor Larry Harvala will lead bible study based on Isaiah 6:18, "Here Am I."

The guest speaker will be Connie Carmichael, executive director of Living at Home, which offers a number of services to help area seniors live comfortably in the home of their choice in the Park Rapids area, a release said.

During the business meeting, an election will be held for president and treasurer roles, along with other items on the agenda.

The ingathering will be items that seniors in need of Living at Home services can use. Suitable items may be found online by looking up "dementia friendly items" on the internet, the release said.
