Unfolding History event set for June 14 at Beltrami County History Center

BEMIDJI — The public is invited to attend an "Unfolding History: Significant Flags of Minnesota" event at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Beltrami County History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave SW.

The program will celebrate the history and meaning behind Minnesota's flags.

"The event features a special presentation by Vincent Noble, a North American Vexillological Association member," a release said. "Noble will share the surprising stories behind some of Minnesota’s most iconic (and forgotten) flags."

The program will include family-friendly activities, such as a design-your-own-flag project and coloring historic flags.

"Whether you’re a flag enthusiast, history buff, or family looking for something fun and meaningful to do this summer, there’s something for everyone at this engaging community celebration," the release said.

The event is free to attend.
