Tickets on sale for Unicycling World Championships, coming up in Bemidji

More than 1,200 unicyclists from all over the world are expected to attend the event, which is back in the United States for the first time in 22 years.

BEMIDJI — Tickets are on sale now for the 21st Unicycle World Championships (Unicon 21) hosted by the Unicycle Society of America in Bemidji, July 14-26.

Unicon is the biennial unicycling world championships. This major event is the largest unicycling gathering in the world with 1,200 to 2,000 participants, a release said.

Each Unicon covers all facets of the sport with The convention portion features where participants gather, reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends.

The following events require tickets for public admission:

  • Individual expert freestyle at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in the main gym at Bemidji High حلحلآ‏»­.
  • Group freestyle finals at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, in the gym at Bemidji State University.
  • Flatland finals at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, at the Sanford Center arena.
  • Pair freestyle finals at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, in the main gym at Bemidji High حلحلآ‏»­.
  • Basketball finals at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22, in the gym at Bemidji State University.
  • Trials finals at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at the Sanford Center arena.
  • Hockey finals at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, in the main gym at Bemidji High حلحلآ‏»­.
  • Street finals at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, at the Sanford Center arena.

Tickets are $15 and available online through Ticketmaster or on-site using cash or credit card.
