Sanford Health to hold Native Americans with Stethoscopes program

Sanford Health of Bemidji will host a Native Americans with Stethoscopes health care career exploration event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

BEMIDJI — Sanford Health of Bemidji will host a Native Americans with Stethoscopes health care career exploration event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, 1300 Anne St. NW.

The free event invites students in grades 7–12 to explore health care careers through hands-on activities with real medical equipment, a release said.

Participants will connect with Native American health care professionals and other medical staff to learn more about opportunities in the field.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops in nursing, radiology, physical therapy and more, along with accessing guidance on scholarships and career pathways.
