BEMIDJI — Paul Bunyan Communications has partnered with the a nationwide gaming platform that connects fiber internet users across the country for weekly community game nights and tournaments. FGN is free to all Paul Bunyan Communications internet customers.
FGN hosts a series of online gaming events each week featuring popular games such as Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Minecraft, Fortnite, Rocket League and more, a release said. Participating players must pre-register to compete in events or watch the livestreams, where they can win giveaways.

The December FGN event schedule is:
- Fortnite: Dec. 4, 11, 18 and 27.
- Minecraft: Dec. 5, 19, 23 and 28.
- Rocket League: Dec. 7 and 12.
- Apex Legends: Dec. 9.
- Crab Game: Dec. 12.
- Halo Infinite: Dec. 14.
- Street Fighter: Dec. 26.

Paul Bunyan Communications hosts one of the largest rural in-person gaming events in the United States, the GigaZone Gaming Championship and TechXpo, and Bissonette noted that by partnering with FGN their customers can now enjoy a seamless online gaming experience throughout the year and compete against gamers all over the country.
