Parks and Rec to host spring mindful run series

BEMIDJI — The city of will offer a spring mindful run series from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 2 to May 7, at the Historic Carnegie Library, 426 Bemidji Ave. N.

Led by instructor Angie Clark, this six-week series is designed to elevate your running journey through the five pillars of yogic balance: right exercise, breathing, thinking, nutrition and relaxation, a release said.

Clark is a Road Runners Club of America run coach, certified yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Wellness Coach.

"Each 90-minute session will feature a blend of dynamic warm-up drills, running/walking intervals, and warm-down stretching, along with lectures and practical skills to help you integrate mindfulness into your running routine," explained the release. "By the end of the series, you’ll understand how to apply these principles for improved performance, injury prevention and enhanced recovery."

The cost per person is $127.50 if participants register by March 25 and $147.50 for registrations by April 3.
