Part of downtown Nevis will be blocked off for the annual Bands and BBQ event on Saturday, July 13.
There are 17 teams registered, and each team will be cooking their special variety of barbecue. The event is a fundraiser for the Nevis Fire Department.

The band Paradigm will entertain visitors beginning at 3:30 p.m. on the stage outside the Nevis Municipal Liquor Store on Main Street.
Tickets for the ribs go on sale at 4 p.m. at the muskie pavilion, and serving begins at 5 p.m.
The Nevis Women鈥檚 Club will be selling sides of baked beans, potato salad and mac and cheese on the patio outside the liquor store.
An awards ceremony for the contestants will be held at 6 p.m. at the muskie pavilion, followed by music by the band In Stereo at 7 p.m. on the stage at the muni.
