Great River Rescue to hold 'Santa Paws' pet photo fundraiser

Great River Rescue is set to hold a "Santa Paws" pet photo fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, at the shelter, 1612 Carr Lake Rd. SE.

BEMIDJI — Great River Rescue is set to hold a "Santa Paws" pet photo fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, at the shelter, 1612 Carr Lake Rd. SE.

Attendees can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while waiting to get their photo taken by Image Photography. Participants are welcome to bring their dogs, cats and small animals, a release said.

As Marina Lovell enters her second year as the executive director at Great River Rescue, she's proud of new developments and the unparalleled work ethic from her staff, volunteers and community.

Photo packages start at $20 and all proceeds will go to Great River, added the release.
