Great River Rescue to hold 'Barkin' Boba' event Feb. 1

Great River Rescue, in partnership with Conservation Minnesota, is set to hold a "Barkin' Boba" event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the shelter, 1612 Carr Lake Road SE.

BEMIDJI — Great River Rescue, in partnership with Conservation Minnesota, is set to hold a "Barkin' Boba" event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the shelter, 1612 Carr Lake Road SE.

"Join us to learn how to make fresh boba drinks and enjoy some socializing with the shelter animals," a release said.

Conservation Minnesota will be providing homemade boba recipes, samples and reusable straws.

This event is free, but donations are always appreciated. Items currently needed are wet food for kittens, wet food for puppies, fragrance-free laundry detergent, dish soap, office supplies, copier paper and items on the shelter's and wish lists.

Great River Rescue is open from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
