June 21, 2015 鈥� At age 38, the oldest wild bald eagle ever known to exist was recently discovered dead alongside a road in New York as the result of a collision with a vehicle. According to records, the eagle鈥檚 leg band identified it as a bird captured as a nestling near Lake Puposky, north of Bemidji.

Mitchell, one of the best artists in the city of Bemidji at the casting game, has caught the record black bass of the season so far in one of the lakes in the Park Rapids area and has since entered it in the Beltrami Avenue Hardware鈥檚 fishing contest. The specimen weighed four pounds.
