The Four Pines Bookstore event will feature poets Charmaine Pappas Donovan, Shawna Bullen-Fairbanks, Marlys Guimaraes, Ann Marie Newman and Dawn Loeffler.

Founded in 1934, the League of Minnesota Poets fosters poets and poetry throughout the state by sponsoring conferences, poetry retreats, readings, performances, contests, slams and workshops.

In 1937, the League issued its first volume of a poetry magazine and every year since has produced a volume in one form or another. The book is a bound, 80-page collection of poems beautifully designed and edited by members, a release said. These will be available for purchase on the day of the event.

This is a free event, but attendees are asked to pre-register by contacting Four Pines Bookstore online at or by calling (218) 497-2665.

Other times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
