CLEARBROOK —The Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Center will continue its Digital Literacy workshop series this month at the Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Center, 105 Main St.

The objective of the workshops is for learners to increase confidence in their ability to engage online, while staying safe from scams and fraud, a release said.

"How to Use the Internet Safely" will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17.

This workshop is designed to introduce internet users to basic safety skills when they visit websites, create passwords and receive email and other communications from potential fraudsters, the release said.

"iPhone/iPad Basics" is set for noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24.

This workshop is specific to Apple mobile devices and the iOS operating system. Attendees are encouraged to bring their Apple device (phone, iPad, laptop, etc.) to the workshop. There will be hands-on activities for participants to build confidence in using their Apple devices.

Attendees will learn about the use of touch gestures and discover common apps. The primary objective of this workshop is for learners to increase their confidence in their ability to use their devices easily and safely.

Digital literacy one-on-one mentoring will be available at 1:30 p.m. on both Thursdays.

These workshops are free to attend and made possible through a national grant and the center is collaborating with the National Council on Aging and AT&T on this project.
