Bemidji Senior Center to host fire safety, hometown hero programs

The Bemidji Senior Center will host a fire safety presentation and a hometown hero event this May at the senior center, 216 Third St. NW.

BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Senior Center will host a fire safety presentation and a hometown hero event this May at the senior center, 216 Third St. NW.

At 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, Alexis with the Bemidji Fire Department will present on fire home safety.

"Bemidji Fire Department, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, are teaming up to save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don’t have them, and by educating people about home fire safety," a release said.

At 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, attendees have the opportunity to enjoy cake and ice cream sponsored by Modern Woodman during a Hometown Hero presentation. This event will be joined with the center's Live Music Jam.
