Bemidji Parks and Rec to host paddle to the point kayak trip Aug. 17

The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will host a local kayaking trip from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at the Tourist Information Center.

BEMIDJI — The city of will host a local kayaking trip from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at the Tourist Information Center.

"Enjoy a laid-back morning on Lake Bemidji," a release said.

Participants will kayak to Diamond Point Park, enjoying the water and watching for wildlife along the way. Kayaks, paddles and life vests will be provided.

The cost is $10 per participant and is sponsored by Sanford Health.
