Bemidji Parks and Rec to host canoe trip July 13

The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will host a local canoe trip from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, beginning at Diamond Point Park.

BEMIDJI — The city of will host a local canoe trip from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, beginning at Diamond Point Park.

"Take advantage of northern Minnesota's beautiful waterways and join us on a summer paddle," a release said.

This trip will take participants canoeing on Lake Bemidji and the Mississippi River down to Stump Lake/Power Dam Bridge. Shuttle, canoe, paddles and life jackets are included. Participants must register in pairs.

The cost is $10 per participant and free for current summer or fall students of Bemidji State or Northwest Technical College.
