Beltrami Electric to host electric vehicle car show Oct. 3

Beltrami Electric Cooperative will host an electric vehicle car show from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Beltrami Electric, 4111 Technology Drive NW.

BEMIDJI — Beltrami Electric Cooperative will host an electric vehicle car show from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Beltrami Electric, 4111 Technology Drive NW, in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week.

Attendees can hear about today’s charging technologies and explore the world of EVs, meet EV owners, check out e-bikes, electric lawnmowers and more.

Representatives from Beltrami Electric Co-op and Otter Tail Power will be available to discuss the latest charging technologies, home charging options, and how to take advantage of rebates, tax credits and off-peak rates to make EV ownership more accessible and affordable, a release said.

The event will feature popular EVs, including the Ford F-150 Lightning, Ford Mach-E Mustang and various Tesla models.

At 5 p.m., there will be a presentation featuring Red Lake ÍáÍáÂþ»­s' new Blue Bird electric school bus. Attendees will learn how local communities are embracing sustainable transportation solutions, the release said.

"Come explore the future of transportation and discover why electric vehicles are gaining momentum," added the release.

This is a free event and the first 75 attendees will receive a free T-shirt. Cookies and refreshments will be provided.
