BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County Historical Society is set to hold a "Caboose and Cocoa" event from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at the History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW.

This free, family-friendly event will kick off the holiday season with fun activities for all ages, including caboose tours, complimentary cocoa and coloring pages for kids of all ages, a release said.

Attendees will be able to explore the festive red 1948 Great Northern steel cupola caboose, beautifully decorated for the holidays by the center's volunteers.

Visitors are encouraged to park at the depot and take a short walk downtown to enjoy the Night We Light festivities.

"This is a great chance to enjoy the season while celebrating the community's rich history," event organizers said in the release. "We invite everyone to join us for a fun and memorable evening."
