Beltrami County Adult Corrections Center announces new medical provider

Beltrami County's Adult Corrections Center has a new medical provider, with the announcement of a three year contract with Wellpath, a Tennessee based company.

BEMIDJI — Beltrami County's Adult Corrections Center will have a new medical provider, with officials announcing a three-year contract with Wellpath that became effective on Nov. 1, 2023.

"We are excited to partner with Wellpath," Beltrami County Sheriff Jason Riggs said in a release. "Their best practices include transparent communications, community partnerships and clinical innovations that will enhance the care we provide to our inmates."

Wellpath, based in Nashville, Tenn., is a provider of medical care across the 37 states in the U.S. and cares for over 300,000 patients daily in more than 550 facilities, including prisons, jails, state hospitals, forensic treatment, civil commitment centers and community-based services.

"Wellpath is excited about this new opportunity, which is grounded in our legacy and mission to provide compassionate healthcare to every individual," said Laura Busbin, Wellpath's vice president of partnership development.
