Annual Take Back the Night event set for April 25

A Take Back the Night event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Bemidji State University’s Lower Lakeside Student Union.

BEMIDJI — A Take Back the Night event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Bemidji State University’s Lower Lakeside Student Union dining area.

Hosted by the event will focus on raising awareness about sexual violence and give victims and survivors a space to be heard and heal, a release said.

The guest speaker will be Elyse Totland from the Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter.

Attendees will have access to BSU and community resources and the opportunity to win free raffle prizes, including gift baskets from local businesses.

This event is free and co-sponsored by the Student Center for Health Counseling and BSU's It's On Us organization.
