Most park trails will be closed indefinitely to allow for hazard removal. Park officials said they hope to reopen access to the Bog Walk Trail sometime next week.

The fishing pier remains closed and access into and out of the boat launch/marina is blocked. Boaters should plan for an alternate location. The closest access to the lake is at the Northwoods boat ramp on Bemidji Avenue North.

Meanwhile, park visitors and the public can attend two Music Under the Pines concerts this weekend in the park’s amphitheater. The Bemidji Brass Quintet will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The group includes Kyle Reiss and Craig Swartz on trumpet, Eve Sumsky on French horn, Alyssa Konecne on trombone, and Steve Radley on bass trombone. Chris Konecne will accompany the quintet on drums.

Dean and Peggy Ellingson are scheduled to perform at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
