WILLMAR, Minn. - The former general manager of a Spicer golf course pleaded guilty Tuesday, April 3, to one felony count of theft - divert corporate property.
Samuel Dean Drodofsky, 56, of Spicer, was charged in April 2017 with stealing approximately $292,025 from the Little Crow Country Club from 2007 to 2015 by using the club's credit card and cashing checks.

According to the plea agreement, Drodofsky's attorney and the prosecution have discussed Drodofsky receiving a stay of adjudication, which means as long as he successfully completes the terms of his sentence, no conviction will be entered onto his criminal record.
His sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 15 at the Kandiyohi County District Courthouse in Willmar.
Court documents say Drodofsky confessed in a meeting with the club's president in January 2016 to misappropriating about $96,000 from the club. Drodofsky presented the club's board with two checks, one for $45,000 and the other for $55,000. A termination agreement was signed by Drodofsky in January 2016.
An independent auditor hired by the Little Crow Country Club and a detective from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office reviewed the club's finances and found not only the club credit card purchases, but dozens of unexplained checks, 19 made out to Drodofsky and another 50 made out to cash.
Drodofsky served as the golf pro and general manager for the Little Crow Country Club from January 2003 until his termination. He was the first to be appointed as general manager for the operations of the public course located between Spicer and New London.
