BEMIDJI — Loon Country Arts is set to host several free art classes for youth this May at the gallery, 310 Fourth St. in downtown Bemidji.
A "Crazy Zebra" watercolor class with Donna Andersen will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

A "Name Art" colored pencils class with Charles Alberti will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14.
A "Pencil Holder" basket weaving class with Eileen Spilman will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 16.
A "Keep It Basket" basket weaving class with Eileen Spilman will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 23.
A "Whimsical Cards" watercolor class with Lily Hadrava will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.
A "Felted Bird" needle felting class with Lanee Paulson will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 31.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through an Artists Engage Community Grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a Legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
