Classic car shows still rolling right along in Minnesota, North Dakota this summer

From weekly to one-day events, check out this list of classic car shows rolling across the region from July through September.

From muscle cars to Model T's, speedsers to vintage, the chrome is getting shined up and motors revved as classic car lovers are ready to hit the open road. Classic car shows and cruises are aplenty around Minnesota and North Dakota this time of year. Here are some to check out:

What: Henderson Classic Car Roll-in
When: Tuesdays from May - Sept. 29 (except week of 4th of July)

What: Cruise Night at The Cactus
When: July 25, Aug. 29 and Sept. 26
Where: Perham, Minnesota
Information: The Cactus will host a monthly cruise night from 5 to 8 p.m. on the last Thursday of the month through September. For more information, visit

What: Cruise Night at the Country Stop
When: July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18
Where: New London, Minnesota
Information: Come see 50 to 100 classic cars and hot rods that are displayed for everyone’s enjoyment. If you have a classic car or hot rod, you can display your car at no charge, sign up for many door prizes or join in the evening cruises from 5 p.m. to dusk. Hot rods, street rods and rat rods from west central Minnesota are on display once a month during the summer at the Country Stop A&W in New London. The free event, held 5 p.m. until dusk the third Wednesday of the month, includes live outdoor music and a chance for car lovers to show off their vehicles to other auto fans.

What: Cruz In Forks-the downtown car show
When: The 4th Thursday of every month, May-Sept.
Where: Grand Forks, North Dakota

When: July 10, Aug. 14 and Sept. 11
Where: Detroit Lakes, Minnesota
Information: Every month between June and September, on the second Wednesday, vintage cars are invited to park up and down West Lake Drive between 4 and 8:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Detroit Lakes Chamber. More information available on its Facebook page at

What: First City Cruise-Ins
When: July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 21
Where: Bemidji, Minnesota
Information: The Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club will host First City Cruise-Ins from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lueken's South, 609 Washington Ave. S. The events will include antiques, collectors, new electric and late-model vehicles and many more. There is no cost to attend or participate.

Where: Spring Valley, Minnesota
Information: Fins and Films will present its "Night of Fire" with the Pixar movie "Elemental" on July 12 at 9 p.m. Grass drag races are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. July 13, followed by the car show from 1 to 5 p.m. in downtown. For more information, go to the event page at

What: Babe's Buurnout Car Show

Where: Bemidji, Minnesota
Information: The second annual show will return to the Sanford Center parking lot with vendors, food trucks, a kid zone, live music and more. All car spaces for participants are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit

What: Rusty Eyeball Car and Motorcycle Show
When: July 13
Where: Willmar, Minnesota
Information: The Hazardous Waste Car Club presents the annual Rusty Eyeball Motorcycle and Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Willmar Civic Center.
