recommends certain vaccines at certain ages. People should also be visiting their doctor once a year for routine check-ups. To know more about all of these vaccines and what their purpose is, read the of them.

At birth, there are two main vaccinations infants should receive: Hepatitis B vaccine (1st dose of 3) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine (1 dose). These vaccines are important because they will protect the infant from initial exposure to Hepatitis B and it will make it easier for the baby’s body to fight off RSV.

In the first 23 months of a baby’s life, they will need several vaccines to ensure their health and safety. These vaccines include DTaP vaccine (4 of 5 doses), Hib vaccine (all 3 or 4 doses), all 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine, IPV vaccine (3 of 4 doses), PCV vaccine (all 4 doses), rotavirus vaccine (all 2 or 3 doses), Covid-19 vaccine (recommended), flu vaccine (recommended), chickenpox vaccine (1st dose of 2), Hepatitis A vaccine (1st dose of 2), and the MMR vaccine (1st dose of 2),

From age two to three years old, children will need to visit the doctor once a year for routine check-ups.

Then, children from age four through six years of age will need their second and final dose of the chickenpox vaccine, their fifth and final dose of the DTaP vaccine, their fourth and final dose of IPV vaccine, and their second and final dose of MMR vaccine.

While there are no specific vaccines for a child to get from ages seven through ten years, it is a good time for them to catch up on any vaccines they may have missed in their younger years. Staying up to date on vaccines is the best way to prevent or help fight certain diseases and illnesses.

For children ages 11 to 12 years old, they will need two doses of the HPV vaccine (6-12 months apart), their first dose of the MenACWY vaccine, and one dose of the Tdap vaccine.

Then, from age 13 all the way to age 18, teenagers will need their second and last dose of the MenACWY vaccine, two doses of the MenB vaccine (not required), and the MenABCWY vaccine, which can be given instead of MenACWY and MenB vaccines when both of those vaccines are being given at the same visit. MenABCWY is not given in addition to those two vaccines.

Adults from ages 19 to 26 years old should receive their chickenpox vaccine (only if they’ve never had chickenpox or received their chickenpox vaccine), Hepatitis B vaccine, their Tdap vaccine (only if they didn’t receive it as a child), and a Td booster shot every 10 years. Additionally, women should get the Tdap vaccine each time they are pregnant, preferably at 27 through 36 weeks.

For adults aged 27 through 49 years old, the Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended, as well as their Td booster shot every 10 years.

Adults aged 50 through 64 years are recommended to get their pneumococcal vaccine who never received one as an adolescent. Adults 50 years and older should also get two doses of the shingles vaccine. Adults 50 years and older should still be getting their Td booster shot every 10 years.

For adults aged 60 and older, it is recommended to get a single dose of the RSV vaccine because the elderly are at a higher risk of severe RSV. The shingles vaccine is recommended for adults aged 50 and over, and the Td booster is still recommended every 10 years.

Vaccines are a safe and effective way to prevent several diseases and illnesses. Talk to your doctor to find out which vaccines are recommended for you and your family.
