Sanford Bemidji to host Doc Talk on heart arrhythmias

BEMIDJI — Sanford Health will host an informational Doc Talk titled "Arrhythmias: Your Heart’s Electrical System" at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Sanford Center, 1111 Event Center Drive NE.

Cardiac electrophysiologist Antony Chu, MD, will discuss the heart’s electrical and mechanical systems and how advanced technology can help treat or cure heart disease.

Dr. Chu will speak on minimally invasive device placement, techniques to correct irregular heartbeats and devices that reduce stroke risk, a release said.

A social with light appetizers will start at 3:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 4 p.m.

Attendees should enter through the convention center entrance doors of the Sanford Center. The event is free but registration is required.
