The City Council in a split vote Tuesday approved terminating the Police Department's school resource officer contract with the school district. However, officers will remain in the schools.
The Willmar City Council may soon be facing a difficult decision regarding the indoor gun range located in the basement of the Willmar City Auditorium. Due to strict lead standards, the city could have to make the range lead-free or close it all together.
