The teens left their home to run an errand on Sept. 2, 1974. Their bodies were found weeks later in a quarry. No one has ever been charged. Their mother, Rita Reker, now 88, hasn't forgotten.
Using DNA testing and other evidence, investigators say that the parents of the child, found dead in a St. Augustana ditch over 40 years ago, have been identified. The case is considered closed.
