The Minnesota Department of Public Safety said Minnesotans are being targeted by scammers purporting to be the “Department of Motor Vehicles” and requesting immediate payment.
A total of 28 grants supporting programs in the state have been delayed, frozen or seemingly made unavailable, according to the Minnesota Management and Budget agency
According to a news release issued Tuesday, more than 300 local law enforcement agencies will be providing extra enforcement of drunken driving laws beginning Nov. 27 and lasting through New Year's Eve.
Beforehand, the law relied on a child's height and weight to determine the appropriate safety seat, but the new guidelines add age as one of the determining factors.
