United Methodist Church donates to Great River Rescue shoe drive

The Bemidji United Methodist Church congregation recently donated multiple bags of shoes to Great River Rescue's shoe drive.

BEMIDJI — The Bemidji United Methodist Church congregation recently donated multiple bags of shoes to Great River Rescue's shoe drive fundraiser.

Bemidji Methodist Office Administrator Karen Thompson and Pastor Deborah Davis presented the donations on behalf of the church.

Great River Rescue serves Bemidji and the greater area to transition dogs and cats to loving homes, serves as a community resource and advocates for kind, responsible pet care, a release said.

Bemidji United Methodist Church serves the Bemidji Area through community events, outreach and free community meals.
