Naasz grew up in Sauk Centre, Minn., "a small, religious farming community where everyone knew everything about everyone else," a release said. She is a 1996 graduate of Bemidji State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in applied psychology.
"From there she spent 25 years working, as she describes it, '…in the trenches of my field, side-by-side with the families on my caseload,'" the release added. Naasz has worked in Cass Lake, Blackduck, Red Lake and Bemidji.
NTC started the Occupational Speaker Series in November 2023 to provide the college’s students, faculty and staff with opportunities to hear unique and inspiring stories from industry professionals.
NTC plans to continue the series throughout the spring semester, with presentations typically held on the third Thursday of each month.
Voyageurs Area Council Director Brad Olson is scheduled to speak on March 21. The spring series will conclude on April 18 with a presentation by NTC Nursing Faculty Member Shari Hahn.
