Milender receives Black Rose for Peace at Lions District Convention

This award is part of the Lions Helping in Ukraine project.

"When Russia escalated their war in Ukraine on the 24th of February 2022, the missiles started raining over Ukraine," a release said. "...luckily for Ukraine, not all of them went off."

Lion Karl "Kalle" Ekelund Pedersen of Sweden made the Black Rose out of a piece of metal from a missile. The Lion receiving the Black Rose embodies hope, perseverance and resilience, the release said.
