Clearwater County History Center announces summer hours

The Clearwater County History Center will begin its summer hours on June 7. Regular museum hours will be held Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SHEVLIN — The Clearwater County History Center will begin its summer hours on Saturday, June 7. Regular museum hours will be held Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There are all new exhibits in the main gallery and new exhibits in most of the historic buildings as well, a release said.

Exhibits in the main gallery include "Century Farms in Clearwater County and Homesteading," "Groceries and Shopping," two exhibits with Clearbrook and Gonvick school items for the summer reunions, and four signature quilts from the 1930s, the release said.

The center will also be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on several Sunday afternoons this summer: June 29, July 20, Aug. 24 and Sept. 7.

Group tours after hours are available by appointment.

Admission to the history center is free, donations are accepted and appreciated. For more information, contact the History Center at (218) 785-2000.
