Buena Vista Ski Area to offer art class, group discounts

Buena Vista Ski Area will hold an art class from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, and offer discounts for military and law enforcement members, 4H members and scouts.

BEMIDJI — Buena Vista Ski Area will hold several events this weekend, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, at 19600 Irvine Ave. NW.

From 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, Buena Vista will host an art class with Amara Bedford on the third floor of the chalet.

The class is limited to eight people and the cost is $25 per person. For more information, call or text Amara at (215) 983-1664.

Attendees can also listen to live music by Muffy Dickinson.

Buena Vista will offer special discounts to military and law enforcement members during Honor Our Troops days on Saturday, Feb. 1, and Sunday, Feb. 2. Immediate family members are also included in this special offer, the release said.

On Sunday, Feb. 2, all Scout and 4H members will get special discounts on their lift tickets.

Buena Vista will be open for skiing and snowboarding from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, with Friday Night Under the Lights specials from 4 to 8 p.m. On, Saturday, Feb. 1, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The ski area will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, with a sunset special from 3 to 6 p.m.

Snow tubing is also available from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with an online reservation.

"Come celebrate 75 years of winter memories at Buena Vista Ski Area," the release said.
