"Scandal of Vandals" is based on a Minnesota mystery that was once touted as "the crime of the century," a release said. A prominent Twin Cities attorney was accused of hiring a hitman to kill his wife.

In "The Sun," Taytum’s passion for her narcissistic lover plunges her into a merciless spiral of danger from which there may be no return. There are heartwarming and humorous moments before investigators Jon and Serena Frederick are drawn into the case and must face the choice of violence or death.

Weber will share information related to the case and give a live demonstration of a lie detector test with an audience volunteer. He will also sign books and be available after the event to answer individual questions.

Our newsroom sometimes reports stories under the byline "Pioneer Staff Report." This byline is used when reporters rewrite basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as an email or press release that requires little or no reporting.

Other times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
