The NLC hoped to receive a $6.5 million bonding bill request from the state, but Minnesota lawmakers failed to pass the projects bill in May of this year.
The National Loon Center will be a facility that will celebrate Minnesota鈥檚 outdoor heritage as it educates visitors on the importance of conserving clean lakes and protecting loon habitat.
Northern Waters Land Trust, in collaboration with the National Loon Center, will host a loon workshop series this summer, starting May 30, at the Cross Lake Recreation Area.
