FARGO 鈥� North Dakota and Minnesota gas prices have dropped sharply after sitting at their highest rates since 2014.

The state鈥檚 gas prices are now at the lowest they鈥檝e been all year, according to 鈥檚 daily survey of gas stations.
North Dakota
North Dakota鈥檚 average price has dropped sharply this month to $2.43, the lowest since October 2017. Just last month, customers paid an average of $2.67 per gallon of regular gasoline, the highest price since November 2014, when the average was $3.03.
Minnesota
In Minnesota, customers are paying $2.33 per gallon on average, down from $2.67 a month ago. The average price in November 2017 was $2.43.
The highest price per gallon in both states was in May 2013, when the average price was $4.24 in North Dakota and $4.28 in Minnesota.

The national average of $2.44 is also a low for the year.
According to AAA, gas prices will likely continue to fall as inventory levels of crude oil and gas increase. Without a sharp increase in the price for crude oil, customers could see gas prices drop below $2.30 by the end of the year.
