First National Bank Bemidji is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracie Walter to its Board of Directors. Walter, a respected leader in the aviation industry and President of Bemidji Aviation, brings a wealth of experience in business operations, regulatory oversight, and strategic leadership to the board.

Walter launched her aviation career in Yuma, Arizona, as a pilot and in-line service for a Part 91/135 operator. She gained extensive experience as a co-pilot and charter operator before joining Bemidji Aviation in 2000. Over the years, she advanced through the ranks, becoming Director of Operations in 2005, Vice President in 2016, and assuming her current leadership role. With an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, Flight Engineer rating, and over 6,500 flight hours, Walter has deep expertise in both single-pilot and crew operations, including overnight freight, passenger charters, and wildland firefighting missions.

In addition to her professional achievements, Walter is a dedicated community member. She serves on the Minnesota Freight Advisory Council and as Vice-Chairperson of the Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association. She is also involved with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Women in Aviation International, and St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tracie Walter to our Board of Directors,” said Ryan Welle, President of First National Bank Bemidji. "Her strong leadership, operational expertise, and deep commitment to the Bemidji community make her a tremendous addition. We look forward to her insights and perspective as we continue to serve our customers and grow as a locally owned community bank."

First National Bank Bemidji is a member of the FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender.
